Dr Padmanabha Shenoy his MBBS from the University of Kerala with 10 gold medals followed by MD Medicine from JIPMER Pondicherry with 4 gold medals. Subsequently he completed DM in Clinical immunology and rheumatology from SGPGI Lucknow. For his innovative work in scleroderma, he was awarded plenary lecture at American college of rheumatology, the first Indian to get the honour in 72 years history of American college. He also founded the first academic department of Rheumatology at Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi. After heading the department for 5 years he founded CARE in 2014. For his contributions in the field of Rheumatology he was awarded young rheumatologist oration by the Indian rheumatology association in 2018.
